 Montez Connell, 87, of Nashville died December 15, 2006, at Berrien County 
Hospital.
 Born January 5, 1919 in Butts County to the late William Franklin and Ruby 
Alline Heath E'Dalgo, she was a homemaker and member of Nashville First Baptist 
Church, VFW Ladies Auxilliary and Eastern Star.
 Survivors include her husband, Ellis Connell of Nashville; daughters, Patricia 
Mathis of Albany and Penney (Roy) Ray of Nashville; sister, Peggy Bradford of 
Nashville; six grandchildren, Tony (Cynde) Mathis, Craig (Candi) Mathis, Jason 
(Misty) Mathis, Rusty (Leigh) Mathis, Heath O'Herron, Kim Marsh; nine great-
grandchildren, Melanie Mathis, Kaithlyn Mathis, Heather O'Herron, McKenna 
Marsh, Matthew Marsh, Shannon Mathis, Miranda Mathis, Hunter Mathis, Madison 
Mathis; step-grandson, Mark (Sabrina) Ray, step-Tracie (Woody) Polino, step-
great-grandsons, Justin and Logan. She was preceded in death by a grand-
daughter-in-law, Tammy O'Herron.
 Funeral services were held December 18 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Lovein 
Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Southerland officiating.
 Interment was in Westview Cemetery.
 Grandchildren served as pallbearers.
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
