 Nadine Hobbs Connell, 86, of Lawrenceville died Aug. 17, 2009 after a lengthy i
illness.
 Born in Patton on March 7, 1923 to the late Mary Frances and Cecil Hobbs, she 
was a loving and kind wife and mother. Her greatest joy in life was her 
grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She thoroughly enjoyed every moment she s
spent with them. Her other favorite past time was shopping and she loved C
Christmas with a passion. Cooking fudge and divinity for all to devour was a t
task she loved to do. She worked for Southern Bell for 35 years starting in T
Thomasville as an operator and continued her service in Valdosta in multiple p
positions. For over 30 years, she was a member of Nashville United Methodist C
Church and the Leila Tye Sunday School Class. She will be greatly missed by her f
family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brother, E
Ernest Hobbs.
 Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Bill Connell of Nashville; daughter 
Gail Johnson of Lawrenceville, daughter and son-in-law, Billie and Carl Barber 
of Nashville; grandson and wife, Michael and Kathrine McGraw of Charleston, SC, 
granddaughter, Misty Barber of Young Harris, great-grandsons, Chance and C
Charley Davis of Buford; nephew and wife, Biff and Dottie Hobbs of Pavo; nieces a
and their husbands, Marcy and Rick Nix of Pavo and Sidney and Brenda Hobbs of S
St. Augustine, FL.
 R.T. Patterson Funeral Home of Lilburn was in charge of arrangements.
