Born September 11, 1948 to the late Johnny V. and Alma Lee Griner Dasher, she was a retired rehabilitation counselor with the Georgia Department of Human Resources and a member of Hope Baptist Church. Through the years she served in a variety of capacities in support of humanitarian efforts and was recognized by numerous organizations for outstanding service and dedication. Survivors include two daughters, Jody Ann Willis of Valdosta and Tina Hall of Enigma; two brothers, Bobby Don Dasher and Johnny V. Dasher, Jr. both of Nashville; four sisters, Kathleen Harrell and Vivian Molisee, both of Ray City, Oreta Staggs of Phoenix, AZ, Jackie Williams of Nashville; four grandchildren. Funeral services were held July 29 at Hope Baptist Church with the Revs. Steve Pickern and Billy Southerland officiating. Della Purvis served as pianist. Musical selections included "Amazing Grace," "A Heart That Will Never Break Again," "When We All Get To Heaven" and "Will The Circle Be Unbroken?" Active pallbearers were Greg Harrell, Allen Dasher, Robbie Dasher, Randy Harrell, Bill Molisee, John May. Honorary pallbearers were the Mayor's Council of Valdosta, board members of the Special Olympics of Tift County, and the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation of Valdosta. Interment was in Westview Cemetery. Purvis Funeral Home of Adel was in charge of arrangements.
