Born July 13, 1914, in Clinch County to the late Jack D. and Georgiann Guest Corbitt, she was a homemaker and member of Cross Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eulis Jackson “Dood” Cook; son and daughter- in-law, Bobby Jack and Avy Cook; son-in-law, John Albert Griner. She is survived by a daughter, Helen Griner of Nashville; two granddaughters, Peggy Jo (David) Keys and Pam Griner; four great-grandchildren, Beth (Brandon) Yeomouns, Heath Wilson, Rachael Wilson and Kate Wilson; five great-great- grandchildren. A graveside service was held October 17 at 11 a.m. at Westview Cemetery with the Revs. Bill Watson and Mark Swain officiating. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
