 Edith Wright Cooke, 72, died December 23, 2005 at St. Vincents Hospital in 
Jacksonville, FL.
 Born March 24, 1934 in Liverpool, United Kingdom, to the late Edith W. Heron 
and the late Thomas Wright, she worked for the state of North Carolina at 
Cherry Hospital and O'Berry Center. She attended Ray City United Methodist 
Church.
 Survivors include daughter, Reeva Cooke Reid; son, Auburn Cook, Jr; brother, 
Tom Wright; two granddaughters.
 A memorial service was held January 22 at 2 p.m. at Ray City United Methodist 
Church.
 A funeral service will be held January 29 in Goldsboro, NC.
 Greenlawn Funeral Home of Jacksonville was in charge of arrangements.
