Born on February 3, 1925 in Dade County, FL to the late Fred and Luando Luke McNeil, she was a homemaker and member of Nashville Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was the widow of Gary White Cooksey, II, who died Feb. 19, 2007. Survivors include two daughters and one son in law, Sheila and Dewayne Leavens, and Rachel Elizabeth Cooksey, all of Nashville; son and daughter in law, Gary White III, and JoAnna Cooksey of Adel; three grandchildren, Jackie Jordan of Nashville, Michael (Kelly) Felts of Adel, and Michelle (Tommy) Daughtrey of Tifton; six great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held August 22 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with Andy Solomon and Hiram Griffin officiating. Interment was in Westview Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Phillip Akins, Timothy Crumley, Ed Blount, Walter Leavens, Ray Hunt, Scott Dillard. Honorary pallbearers were Hiram Griffin, Hans Heitlauf, Ira Shealey, Bruce Nelms, Rodney Nix, Grover Fulp. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
