Funeral services were held May 20 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Albritton- Beaumont Funeral Directors with J. Brian Bergeron and Dr. Danny Ray, chaplain of Tift Area Hospice, officiating. Burial followed at Tift Memorial Gardens, Vohn Ramos, David Rutland, Bryan Wimberly, Josh Scarbrough, Danny Lamb and Lamar Baldree served as pallbearers. Born July 8, 1947 in Summerville to the late Willie Ralph Cooper and Betty Johns Cooper Odom, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Cooper and a sister, Ann Steiner. He had lived in Enigma for 13 years and formerly lived in Ocilla. He was a self-employed truck driver and his CB handles were "Shaker" and "Cooper Stein." He loved camping, riding his lawnmower and keeping his yard. His life was his grandchildren. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife, Thelma Parker Cooper of Enigma; son, Robert Daniel Riddle of Tifton; four daughters and sons in law, Debora and Bruce Cargle Sr. of Tifton, Mary and Josh Scarbrough of TyTy, Lisa and Vohn Ramos and Betty and Bryan Wimberly, all of Enigma; daughter-in-law, Cindy Rutland of Lenox; two sisters and one brother in law, Gail and Stanley Morgan of LaFayette and Gina Nichols of Trion; 11 grandchildren, Kristy and Danny Lamb, Bruce Cargle Jr., Miranda Cargle, Morgan Ramos, Andrew Ramos, Matthew Wimberly, Sharae Riddle, Marissa Ramos, Amanda Riddle and Hannah Scarbrough; several nieces and nephews and his special caregivers, Hospice of Tift Area, the staff of Tiftarea Cardiology and the staff of Tifton Oncology.
