  Walter John Cooper, 78, passed away November 26, 2015, in Pensacola, FL.
 He was born in Nashville to the late Launcie and Carrie Lee McDowell Cooper on 
July 12, 1937. He graduated from Berrien High School and enlisted in the U.S. 
Navy, serving as a firefighter at the Naval Air Station in Pensacola until his 
retirement. He was of the Baptist faith.
 Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Sally Myers Cooper of Pensacola; 
daughters, Fonny (Todd) Wright, Samantha (Randal) Lyle, both of Texas, Bonny 
(Mike) Lagsdon, SC; sons, Walter J. Cooper, Jr. of Milton, FL. and William 
(Lynn) Cooper of Jacksonville, FL; sister, Nancy Powers of Nashville; brother, 
Jerry Cooper of Nashville; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
 Funeral services were held on December 4 at Bannancas National Cemetery in 
Pensacola.
 Family Funeral and Crematory was in charge of arrangements.
