Copeland at Ray City Mr. David S. Copeland passed way at his home at Ray City, Ga., on Saturday, November 13, old age being the cause of his death, begin 84 years and 4 months old. He had lived in Lowndes County all his life up till about eighteen years ago he moved to Berrien County where he died. He was a Primitive Baptist, being a member of the church for about 40 years. He also served in the confederate war. Mr. Copeland was married twice leaving 4 children by his first wife as following: Mrs. M.D. Fiveash of Sirmans, Ga.; Mrs. P.A. Register of Dupont, Ga.; Mrs. M. Tomblinson of Okeechobee, Fla., and Mr. I.L. Copeland of near Naylor, Ga. He was also survived by his last wife and one daughter, Miss Rubye Copeland of Ray City, Ga., and grand children, great grand children and other relatives. Rev. Owill Knight preached his funeral at New Ramah Church Sunday afternoon where he was laid to rest.
