Born February 5, 1913, in Coffee County to the late Hamp and Lannie McClelland Sears, she was a homemaker and retired licenses practical nurse. She attended Nashville Church of God. She was married to the late Oscar Cox. Survivors include her stepdaughter, Mable Rowe; two step-grandsons, one step-granddaughter; several step-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held July 7 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with Elder Robert G. Boone officiating. “How Great Thou Art” was played on CD. Interment was in Westview Cemetery. Selected family members served as pallbearers. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
