Born April 1, 1925 in Berrien County to the late Jesse and Mary Barber Rutherford, she was a homemaker and member of Nashville Church of God. Survivors include two daughters, Sue Kirkland of Tifton and Joy Garner of Valdosta; two sons, Robert Taylor of Kennesaw and Rev. Martin Taylor of Tampa, Florida; one sister, Thelma Richardson of Nashville; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held July 28 at 11 a.m. at Nashville Church of God with the Revs. Larry Daughtry, Chad Pickett, Jerry Hewitt and Ronnie Luke officiating. The Taylor Family sang "Crying Holy," "Mansion Over the Hilltop" and "I'll Fly Away." Paul and Melissa Hewitt sang "I Bowed On My Knees and Cried Holy." Interment was in Vickers Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Ryan Taylor, Bradley Garner, Russell Kell, Lee Hysmith, Michael Kirkland, Joshua Taylor, Travis Hood, Joshua Bowyers, Sr. Honorary pallbearers were Rev. Henry Bryant, Thelma Richardson, Fred Porter, Rancil Taylor, Trudie McNabb, Gertie Barber. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
