Born December 17, 1923, in Berrien County to the late Alvin Jett and Annie Lee May Futch, she was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church of Ray City. She had been a member of the choir, the Widows Club, and a Sunday School class a at First Baptist Church of Ray City for many years. She was preceded in death b by her husband, James Edward Creed and a brother, Robert Futch. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Nick Lacey of Ray City and Betty and Ron Mathis of Fairfax, VA; son and daughter-in-law, Jesse L. and Kathy Creed of Lakeland; brother, Clark Futch of Nashville; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held August 11 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Ray C City with burial in Beaver Dam Cemetery. Music Funeral Services of Lakeland was in charge of arrangements.
