 Dorothy Geneva Curry, 82, of Edgewater, FL formerly of Tallahassee, FL, died 
April 24, 2014, at Halifax Health-Hospice of Volusia, Flagler, FL.
 Born August 27, 1931, in Nashville to the late Jim and Sara Sylvania Spradley 
Conger, she was a retired licensed practical nurse with Tallahassee Memorial 
Healthcare. She was a faithful member of Christian Life Fellowship where she was 
an Honorary Deaconess. She enjoyed crocheting and loved her Lord and Savior. In 
addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Hayward 
Johnson; son, Milton Johnson, and several brothers and sisters.
 She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Edward Dewitt Curry, Sr.; children, 
Larry Wayne Johnson (Carolyn), Hayward Melvin Johnson (Viccie), James Aaron 
Johnson (Tameca), Charles William Johnson (Judy), Edward Dewitt Curry, Jr., 
(Tina) Beverly Ann Wesssinger, Shirley (Rex) Kimbrough, Bonnie Smith, Luther 
Edward "Buddy" Curry, Kathy (Tim) Dickerson, Judy (Dave) Spencer; a multitude of 
grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a sister Sara 
(Buddy) Luke.
 Funeral services were held April 28 at 3 p.m. at Christian Life Fellowship with 
entombment following at Tallahassee Memory Gardens. Pastor Tom Tryon of Harvest 
Chapel Church officiated.
 Abbey Funeral Home and Tallahassee Memory Gardens was in charge of 
arrangements.
