She was born December 17, 1930, in Berrien County to the late Riley Nathan Taylor and the late Essie Elizabeth Wallace. She retired as a secretary with the J.H Harvey Co. and for many years also worked at Rexall Drug Store. She was a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly Newton; son, Danny McCorvey; two sisters, Sarah Beggerly and Christine Mills; two brothers, Lewis and Wayne Taylor. She is survived by five grandchildren, Angie (Rob) Lovein, and Margo (Steven) Mathis, both of Nashville, Craig McCorvey of Glennville, Darlene (Randy) West and Darren Weston of Savannah; son-in-law, Warren Newton (Ann Wilkerson) of Savannah; six great-grandchildren; four sisters, Martha Barnard of Red Oak, TX, Anita Densmore of Panama City, FL, Latrelle Wood of Englewood, OH and Marlene Nelms of Nashville. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, November 24 at 11 a.m. in Nashville Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Mickey Lindsey officiating. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
