Born October 10, 1934 in Berrien County to the late Dave and Lula Stone Dales, he was a retired farmer and a member of Riverside Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Betty Faye Exum Dales of Nashville; daughter, Betty Lou Crispin of Mississippi; two sons, Robert Dales and Winston Dales, both of Nashville; sister, Doris Dales of Nashville, brother, Henry Dales of Nashville; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild. Funeral services were held May 17 at 2 p.m. at Riverside Missionary Baptist Church with the Revs. Jim Williams and Johnny Hendley officiating. The church choir sang "Amazing Grace" and "I'll Fly Away. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Buddy Peacock, Dewayne Dales, Johnny Dales, William Crosby, Henry Peacock, William Peacock, Curt Shealey. Honorary pallbearers were John Crosby, Tommy Exum, Cloyes Yeomans, Fred Stone, Billy Nix, Hank Blanton. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
