DeBerry, 74, of Dudley died April 16, 2007 at Heartland Hospice in Macon. He was born July 6, 1932 in Berrien County to the late Robert and Mattie Lee Spicer DeBerry. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War era and retired from Civil Service as an electronics technician at Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins before moving to Dudley. He served at Robins Air Force Base from 1957 to 1966 and at Kennedy Space Center from 1966 to 1972 and then back to Robins Air Force Base until his retirement in 1987. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife, Laura Anderson DeBerry of Dudley; one daughter, Rhonda DeBerry (Perry) Rowland of Dudley; one son, Robert Alan (Lori) DeBerry of Bonaire; one sister, Ruth Aycock of Alapaha; brothers, Charles M. DeBerry of Tifton and Elton L. DeBerry of Ocilla; grandchildren, Jennifer Lynn Rowland and Elizabeth Ann Rowland of Dudley; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Clara Jeanette DeBerry Pettis, and a brother, James Lester DeBerry. A graveside service was held on April 18 at 2:30 p.m. at Springhill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Irwin County with Elder Edward McIntyre officiating.
