 Vernell Jenkins DeCosta, 79, of Leesburg, formerly of Nashville, died Nov. 8, 20
2009.
  A native of Coffee Springs, AL, she had resided in Leesburg since July of 2
2009, moving from Nashville. She was a homemaker and a server at Merry Acres R
Restaurant for many years, a member of Kirkland United Methodist Church in P
Pearson and attended Central Baptist Church in Albany. She was preceded in d
death by her husband, Norman L. DeCosta, and a grandson, Kenneth Dale Moore.
 Survivors include two daughters, Jenny Howard and husband, Dale of Doles, and 
Kathy Swain of Leesburg; two sons, Steve Jenkins and wife, Virginia, of Blue 
Ridge, Kenny Jenkins and wife, Anna, of Zephyrhills, FL; ten grandchildren, 13 
great-grandchildren; brother, Huey Johnson of Dothan, AL.
 Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Nov. 11 at Mathews Funeral Home with the Re
Rev. John Jacobs officiating.
 Interment was in Providence Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Worth County.
 Mathews Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
