She was born on Aug. 2, 1920, in Colquitt County to the late Thomas Alvin and t the late Lucy Fenn Bryant. She was a homemaker, served in the Army Air Corps as a a nurse during WWII, and was a retired nurse anesthetist at Archbold Memorial H Hospital of Thomasville and Phoebe Putney Hospital of Albany. She was preceded i in death by her first hospital, Clyde Elkin Freeman, her second husband, I.J. D DeLoach, and a son, Robert Elkin Freeman. She is survived by two daughters, Linda F. Ratcliffe and Diane F. Kennard, both of Hinesville and their respective families consisting of one son-in-law, three grandsons; two granddaughters; one grandson-in-law, one granddaughter-in-law and five great law and five great-grandchildren; four sisters, Leila Pilkinton of Thomasville, Dorothy Johnston of Albany, Opal Tillman of Coolidge and Frances Hicks of Thomasville; a step-son and his family; multiple nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on March 22 at 2 p.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church in in Coolidge with Rev. Stanley Norman officiating. Interment was in Big Ochlocknee Cemetery. Nephews served as pallbearers. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
