Dorothy Burnell Dennis, 78, of Nashville died Monday, June 22, 2009 in the 
South Georgia Medical Center. 
She was born on April 13, 1931 in Berrien County to the late Arteamus Ray and 
Zettie Lee Watson. She was a member of Nashville First Baptist Church. She was 
a homemaker and a retired school teacher. She was such a caring and giving 
person. She loved God, her church, her family, and her friends. She was an 
excellent cook and counted it a blessing to share with others. 
She loved beautiful flowers and worked in her yard with her flowers as long as 
she was able. She took her teaching duties very seriously, and wanted her 
students to learn, as well as, do well in life. She was honored to tell others 
that she was a school teacher, and was quick to tell others about students she 
had taught and their accomplishments. She will be greatly missed. 
She is survived by her husband, Eston Dennis of Nashville; son, Mike Dennis of 
Nashville; two sisters, Christine Boyett and Emajean Moore, both of Nashville; 
special caregivers Bettye Rigdon and Rita Hicks.
Funeral services will be held today, June 24, 2009 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of 
Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Stanley Luke officiating. Interment will 
follow in Nashville Memorial Gardens. - Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville
