"Bill" Devane, 81, of Nashville died November 9, 2005 in Berrien County. Born December 24, 1923 in Lowndes Co. to the late Connie Cleveland and Nellie Mae Coppage Devane, he was a retired supervisor with National Cash Register. He was a member of Nashville First Baptist Church, a Mason, a Shriner, and a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. He was married to the late Ina E'Dalgo Devane. Survivors include his niece and nephew, Betty Jo and Hank Hobson of Nashville; two sisters-in-law, Montez Connell and Peggy Bradford, both of Nashville; one cousin, Kay Devane of Nashville; nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held November 12 at 11 a.m. at Nashville First Baptist Church with the Revs. Rick Williams and Jack Harris officiating. Rev. B.J. and Teresa Holliday sang "Amazing Grace" and "What A Friend We Have in Jesus." Interment was in Westview Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Bill E'Dalgo, Chris Welsh, James Welsh, Leon Tucker, John Tucker, Roy Ray, Jr. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Brotherhood Sunday School Class at Nashville First Baptist Church.
