She was born March 5, 1958, in Orange County, FL, to the late Ralph Dixon and the the late Martha Tonley Dixon. She was of the Baptist faith and was very active in S in Special Olympics, winning numerous medals for swimming and diving. She was also also preceded in death by her adoptive father, Paul Crisp, who died Oct. 2, 2010 2010. She is survived by her adoptive mother, Mary Ellen Crisp of Nashville; bro brother, Bill Dixon of Miami, FL; an aunt, Jean Dixon of Alapaha; cousins, Joe Dix Dixon, Steve Dixon, and Mark Dixon all of Alapaha; Wayne Jones of Nashville and Joy Joyce Tulley of Colquitt. She is also survived by additional cousins. A graveside service was held Nov. 8 at 2 p.m. at Fletcher Cemetery with the Re Rev. Stanley Luke officiating. Joel Dixon sang "I Can Only Imagine" an and "Amazing Grace," "My Chains Are Gone," accompanying himself on the guitar. Pallbearers were John Dixon, David Dixon, Casey Spurlock, Kyle Spurlock, Carl M Mathis Dixon, Quenton Dixon. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
