She was born May 29, 1930 in Colquitt County to the late J.W. and Alda Hall Dorminey. She was a homemaker and retired Probation Officer with the Georgia Department of Corrections and member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Warner Robins. She is survived by her son, Phillip (Janet) Griner of Warner Robins; two grandchildren, Wade (Andrea) Griner, Warner Robins, Kellie (Jeff) Hibitts, McDonough; three brothers, A.J. Dorminey, Nashville, Eddie Lee Dorminey, Enigma, Harold Dorminey, Brooks; and two sisters, Faye Nix of Nashville and Glenda Collins of Valdosta. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009 in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Mitchell officiating. Songs on CD included "I'll Fly Away," "Amazing Grace" and "Sweet Bye and Bye." Interment will be held in Long Bridge Cemetery. Pallbearers were Wade Griner, Jeff Hibbitts, Ryan Collins, Gary Dorminey, Cass Dorminey, Matthew Barber. Visitation will be held this evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
