 Blake Daniel Drawdy, 77, of Lenox, died Friday, April 10, 2015, at Tift 
Regional Medical Center.
 Born December 1, 1937, in the West Berrien Community, Mr. Drawdy was preceded 
in death by his parents, Lewis King and Essie Mae Rutland Drawdy. He graduated 
from Berrien High School in 1955, from ABAC and UGA, class of 1959. Mr. Drawdy 
was a veteran of the United States Army and was of the Primitive Baptist faith. 
He was a retired school teacher, retiring from Worth County after 37 years. He 
enjoyed gardening and fishing and loved to joke-a-round. Most of all, he enjoyed 
spending time with his family.
 Survivors include his wife, Sharon Thompson Drawdy of Lenox; son and daughter-
in-law, Chap Drawdy and Jeannie of Tifton; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy Drawdy 
Helms and George of Tifton; four grandchildren and their spouses, Drew and Devin 
Lavender, James and Jessica Drawdy, Tyler Drawdy and his finace’, Hope Parkerson 
and Jacob Helms; four great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Brown, Raegan Drawdy, 
Kaidence Drawdy and Judd Lavender; and one sister and brother-in-law, Faye and 
Jeston Connell of West Berrien.
 A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 13 in Pine Grove 
Baptist Church Cemetery, West Berrien Community, with Rev. Steve Luke and Rev. 
Clay Miller officiating.
 Grandsons served as pallbearers.
