 David DuBose, 62, of Alapaha, Georgia, died Friday, December 4, 2009, at his 
residence. 
 Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Monday, December 7, at the Paulk Funeral 
Home Chapel in Ocilla with the Rev. Billy Roberts officiating. Interment will 
follow in the St. Luke Cemetery, Berrien County. The family will receive 
friends from 7-9 Sunday evening at the funeral home in Ocilla. 
 Mr. DuBose was born October 19, 1947 in Alapaha to the late Rev. Lewis and 
Eula Mae Stephens DuBose. He was a farmer and truck driver. He was a former 
employee of Firestone Tire. Mr. DuBose was a member of St. Luke Baptist Church 
and had lived most of his life in Berrien County. 
 Mr. DuBose is survived by his children and their spouses: Sandra & Carl Smith 
of Valdosta, Ann Young of Ocilla, Betty & David Kent and Michelle & Paul Soliz, 
all of Fitzgerald, Jason DuBose of Ocilla, Dave DuBose of Valdosta, Brett 
Sadler and Brittany Sadler Roberts, both of Fitzgerald; companion: Margaret 
Moore of Alapaha; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother: Bobby & 
Brenda DuBose of Alapaha; sister: Annette & Charlie Redding of Albany; as well 
as several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents he was preceded in death 
by an infant son: Lewis Lawrence DuBose; two grandchildren: Stephen Daniel 
Tucker and Kaidyn Jane Sadler; and a brother: Carl DuBose.
 Paulk Funeral Home of Ocilla was in charge of arrangements.
