Born March 8, 1929 in Atkinson County to the late Willie H. and Mamie Stephens Duggan, he was a receiving stock manager at Morrison's Ace Home Center. He was of the Baptist faith and was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Betty Ruth Mathis Duggan of Nashville, one daughter, Ann Morris of Nashville; one son, Mike Duggan of Nashville; one sister, Mildred Longstreet of Valdosta; one brother, Charles Duggan of Nashville; one grandson, three step grandchildren. Funeral services were held May 23 at 4 p.m. at Riverside Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny Hendley officiating. Cindy Jewell, Sharon Burgess and Louise Bass sang "Amazing Grace" and "Had It Not Been." The congregation sang "I'll Fly Away." Interment was in Riverside Cemetery.
