He was born July 9, 1940, in Moultrie to the late Jessie and Mary Lee Harden Durrance. He was a retired motor grader with the Berrien County Road Department and had also been employed with the City of Nashville. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by a son, Jessie Craig Durrance; two grandchildren, Tiffany Darion and James L. Steverson; five sisters, Clara Gail Durrance, Betty Jean lamb, Debbie Palmer, Joyce Nelms and Mattie Jo Harbin. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Ann Carter Durrance of Ray City; three daughters, Ginger Durrance of Louisville, KY, Theresa (David) Langford of Ray City and Melissa (Larry) Harper of Lake Park; son, Don (Dee) Durrance of Colorado Springs, CO; two sisters, Carolyn Smith of Norman Park and Ann Bachelor of Moultrie; brother, Bobby Durrance of Cairo; five grandchildren, Nicole Osorio, Katy (Brian) Lovett, Steve (Melissa) Lovett, Cindi (John) Carter and Heather Steverson; seven great-grandchildren, Sa’renity, Blake, Jonathan, Lilly, John Jason, Christian and Gwendolyn. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, December 2 at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Purvis officiating. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
