Born March 18, 1927, in Fulton County to the late Mack Manus and Blanche Rutledge Ethridge, he was a retired line foreman with Georgia Power Co. He was a veteran of WWII serving with the Merchant Marines and was a member of Nashville First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mary Elizabeth Patrick Ethridge of Nashville; son, William David Ethridge of Orange Park, FL; daughter, Marjorie Hodges, Nashville; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held March 19 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Revs. Stanley Luke and Billy Southerland officiating. Deborah Boyd sang "In The Garden," and "The Old Rugged Cross" was played on CD. Interment was in Westview Cemetery. Selected family members served as pallbearers. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
