Born September 5, 1920, in Mitchell County to the late George and Laura Atkins Simms, she was a homemaker and member of Flat Creek Baptist Church. She was married to the late Willie Exum. Survivors include two daughters two daughters and one son-in-law, Willa Mae and Willie C. Stone of Nashville and Sarah Faye Kicklighter of Glenville; son and daughter-in-law, Waugh and Terri Exum, Terri Exum of Roanoke, AL; two brothers, Howard Simms and A.W. Simms, both of Warner Robins; eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held February 25 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with Rev. Jesse Randall Dasher officiating. Songs on CD included "Amazing Grace" and "Precious Memories," Interment was in Flat Creek Cemetery Pallbearers were Greg Howell, Stacey Holbrook, Patrick Garner, Jason Exum, David Aycock, Carol Stone.
