He was born August 17, 1924, in Berrien County to the late Tim and Minnie Luke E Exum and was a retired farmer. He was receded in death by his wife, Rhoda T Temples Exum, who died in 1998. He is survived by daughters, Christine (Charles) Bryan of West Berrien Community and Carolyn (Donald) Vaughn of Lakeland; sons, Alton (Susan) Exum and Jerry Exum all of Nashville; seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held October 11 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Lovein Fune Funeral Home with the Revs. Mickey Lindsey and Mike Bennett officiating. Songs on C on CD included "Cabin on a Hill," "Precious Memories," and "Go Rest High on that that mountain," Interment followed at Flat Creek Cemetery with New Tradition singing "I' Fly Awa Away." Pallbearers were Stacy Bowen, Cody Lewis, Dustin Exum, Michael Fender, David Ex Exum, Chuck Bryan. Honorary pallbearers were Carlton Brady, Ron Guthrie, Danny Solomon, Donald E Exum, Randy Brown, J.H. Exum. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
