He was born Dec. 7, 1919, in Berrien County to the late William Faulkner and the late Celie Singletary Faulkner. He was a retired painter and an Army veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Thomas Faulkner, who died in 2003. He is survived by two daughters, Peggy (Gene) Kent of Adel and Gloria Jean (Larry) Belford of St. Augustine, Fla.; one son, Wayne (Brenda) Faulkner of Nashville; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Services for Mr. Faulkner will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 12, 2009, at the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Raymond Cason and the Rev. R.T. Castleberry. Interment will be in Flat Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the funeral hour. - Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville, Ga.
