 Lavonne Roberts Fender, 76, of Nashville died March 14, 2004 at South Georgia 
Medical Center in Valdosta.

 Born November 29, 1927 in Cook County to the late Marvin E. and Jewell Mae 
Myers Roberts, she was a homemaker and member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church. 
She was married to the late Frank Fender.

 Survivors include four daughters, Elizabeth Thomas of Lenox, Linda Edwards of 
Moultrie, Joyce Carter of Hahira, Debbie Griffin of Nashville; three sisters, 
Inez Newbern of Sparks, Bertha Hopper and Nelda Biederman, both of Adel; 14 
grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren.

 Funeral services were held March 17 in the chapel of Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home 
with the Rev. Earl Buckholts officiating.

 Interment was in Long Bridge Cemetery.

 Active pallbearers were Mike Fender, Mitch Griffin, Greg McConnell, Stacy 
Edwards, Jason Edwards, Andy Griffin.

 Honorary pallbearers were Scott Thomas, Bryan Carter, Dusty Griffin, Billy 
Fender.

 Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
