He was born Feb. 26, 1932, in Berrien County to the late Lee Max and Alice Elenor Elenor Cook Fountain. He was a retired hardware and building supply salesman, a an Army veteran and member of Nashville Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include two daughters and son-in-law, Brenda and Stanley Gaskins and Teresa Pilcher, all of Nashville; sister, Carolyn Larivierre of Louisiana; brother, Kenneth Fountain of Thomaston; five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Ann Fountain and son, Gerald Max "Jerry" Fountain; two sisters, Frances Lively and Hazel Pafford. Funeral services were held Jan. 15 at 11 a.m. at Calvary Temple with the Rev. An Ann Smith officiating. Amy Bartow sang "I'll Fly Away" and "Beulah Land." Interment was in Westview Cemetery. Pallbearers were Russell Stone, Derrick Pilcher, Doak Holcombe, Tony Green, Will Hughes, William Summerlin. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
