Born August 29, 1927 in Tift Co. to the late Ernest and Annie Bell Jackson Fletcher, she was a homemaker and member of Flat Creek Baptist Church. She was married to the late Fred Dix and the late W. L. Foxworth. Survivors include four daughters, Ernestine Gaskins and Joan Sirmons, both of Nashville, Freddie Ann Bostic and Charlotte Foxworth, both of Adel; one son, Lt. Col. (Chaplain) Randall Foxworth, US Army, Germany, two step-daughters, Betty Watson of Albany and Fannie Fletcher of Nashville, one brother, Frank Fletcher of Nashville; 20 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held March 30 at 4 p.m. at Flat Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Mickey Lindsey and Gary James officiating. The church choir sang "Amazing Grace" accompanied by Tammy Kent, pianist. Purnell Highsmith sang "When the Wagon was New" and O Come Angel Band." Interment was in Flat Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers were Dewade Bostic, Brad Bostic, Jonathan Bostic, Stanley Gaskins, Leamon Foxworth, Randy Coleman. Honorary pallbearers were deacons of Flat Creek Baptist Church. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
