Born August 9, 1910 in Jackson County to the late Weymon Pierce and Flora Jane Wheeler Nicholson, she was a homemaker and attended Nashville Mission. She was a member of Nashville United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was married to the late T.J. Futch, Sr. Survivors include three daughters, Rachel Stripling of Hahira, Geneva Bailey of Richwood, WV, Anelda Guest of Douglasville; four sons, Weymon Thomas Futch of Pineville, LA, T.J. Futch Jr. of Nashville, Kenneth Futch of Fitzgerald, Robert Edward Futch of Ruby, LA; two sisters, Blanche Rice of Nashville, Lois Barker of Trinity, NC; 22 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, four great- great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held May 19 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Revs. Clarence Luke, Wayne Taylor and Danny Garrett officiating. Jason Lane sang "Blessed Assurance" and "Sweet Bye and Bye." Interment was in New Ramah Cemetery. Pallbearers were Tim Futch, Dane Lancaster, Scottie David Bailey, Michael Futch, Ricky Stripling, Nathan Lane. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
