 William Bennett Futch, 84, of Lake City, FL died July 18, 2008 at the Veterans 
Hospital in Lake City.
 He was born on Aug. 7, 1923 in Paris Island, SC to James Otis and Ima Bennett 
Futch, Mr. Futch was retired from heavy construction and carpentry, and fought 
in WWII as a member of the United States Marine Corp.
 Survivors include his wife, Geraldine "Jerry" May Northrip Futch of Lake City; 
two daughters, Jo Beth Stafford of Lake City, FL and Virginia Lynn Dalton of 
Albany; three sons, William Bryan Futch of Lake City, James Dennis Futch of 
McCalpin, FL and Russell Tracy Futch of Cottonwood, AL; sister, Gertrude 
Frazier of Daytona, FL, three brothers, James Otis Futch, Jr. of Phoenix, AZ, 
Russell Chandler Futch of Daytona Beach, FL and Franklin B. Futch of Nashville; 
five grandchildren; one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by a grandson, 
Troy Calhoun.
 A graveside service was held at Westview Cemetery at 11 a.m. on July 21 with 
the Rev. Jack Harris officiating.
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
