Born August 23, 1922 in Clarendon County, SC to the late Ira and Maggie Welch Coker, she was a homemaker and retired nurse. She was a member of Eastern Star, VFW Ladies Auxiliary and Nashville FIrst Baptist Church. She was married to Howard Futch who died in 1976. Survivors include two sons and one daughter in law, Jeff and Donna Futch of Nashville and Bob Futch of Adel; Kathryn Mathis of Nashville, Nell Gibbs of Adel, Nita Chandler, Jo Johnson and Doria Dangerfield, all of Charleston, SC; brother, Ralph Coker of Turbyville, SC; five grandchildren, several great- grandchildren. Funeral services were held May 1 at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Revs. Mike Gibbs and George O'Berry officiating. The Camp Creek Church singers sang "The Old Rugged Cross," "Precious Memories" and "Give Mother Her Crown." A private family interment was held in Arabia Cemetery in Clinch County. Pallbearers were Thomas Futch, Randy Futch, Larry Futch, Ronald Mathis, Kyle Mathis, Joe Gibbs. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
