Futch Passed Away in Berrien Co. Nashville, Ga., July 16. – Mr. W. R. Futch, a pioneer Berrien county and Nashville citizen passed away last week. He had been ill for two weeks but his illness was not thought to be serious. Heart trouble is said to have caused his death. Mr. Futch was born and reared in the southern part of the county, where he lived until moving to Nashville, and for the past twelve years has held the office of county surveyor. Funeral services were held at the Nashville Baptist Church, being conducted by Elder J.B. Luke, the interment taking place in the Nashville cemetery with Masonic honors. He was a Primitive Baptist in belief. The survivors are: brothers, T.G. Futch, Lenox; L.N. and E.J. Futch, Adel; J.E. Futch, Cecil; and one sister, Mrs. M.M. Grady; nine children, Lester Futch, Alapaha; Clarence Futch, Willacoochee; J.O. Futch, Daytona Beach, Fla.; Dumps Futch, U.S. Navy, located at Peking, China; Mrs. H.C. Blackburn, Tampa, Fla.; Estel, Pearl and Olivia Futch of this city.
