The Berrien Press -- Madeen L. Garrison, 68, of Buffalo, SC, died August 7, 
2008 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home in Spartanburg, SC.
 Born September 18, 1939 to the late Shade and Maggie Carter Luke, she was 
retired from One-Hour Martinizing Cleaners in Union, SC, and formerly worked 
for S-Mart in Union. She was a member of Oakbrook Community Church in 
Jonesville, SC, and the Buffalo Senior Citizens Center. She was married to the 
late Sgt.M. Robert S. Garrison.
 Survivors include two daughters, Dianne Dawkins of Union and Pamela Monroe of 
Buffalo; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Julie Harris of Simpsonville 
and Kevin and Debbie Harris of Ninety Six; a step-daughter, Sandie Colleptzer 
of Atlanta; a sister, Kathleen Hayes of Willacoochee; a brother, Lavawn Luke 
of Nichols; a special friend, Hilda Osborne of Buffalo; nine grandchildren, 
Lisa Sanders, Courtney Worthy, Mike Coleptzer, Nikki Davis, Justin (Britni) 
Wade, Ian, Avonlea, Shae and Sidney Harris; six great-grandchildren, Dylan and 
Destiny Sanders, Jaylen Sinclair, Madison Maness, Jakob Clark, Kamdyn Wade.
 A memorial service was held August 10 at 2 p.m. at Oakbrook Community Church 
with Rev. Randy Burgess officiating.
 S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home of Union was in charge of arrangements.

She is buried at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Alapaha, Berrien 
Co., GA.
