Born in Guyton to the late Theodore and Emma Jane Foushee Autry, she been a resident of this area since 1948. She was co-owner/operator of the family’s a agriculture business until her retirement. She was a former Sunday School t teacher with 1st Christion Church in Ray City and member of the Valdosta Azalea a and Camellia Society. She was also very active with the CWF at 1st Christian of V Valdosta as well as the Soup Kitchen until her health failed. She had also been a an adult literacy teacher and advocate. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed R RVing and camping. She was a member of 1st Christian Church of Valdosta. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Joy Garrison; son and daughter-in-law, Alan Autry Garrison, Ph.D., and Ingrid Kuypers; daughter, Karen Myrtice Garrison, all of Ray City; daughter, Lisa Jane Garrison of Robinsville Robinsville, NY; grandchildren, Joey Young, Michael Young, and Miriam Evans; nieces nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and many friends made over a lifeti lifetime. A memorial service was held at 1st Christian Church on March 25 at 3 p.m. with Rev. Rev. Chris Michael officiating. Carson McLane Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
