Mr. Gary was born in Nashville April 7, 1900, the son of Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Gary. Following last rites at the Nashville Baptist Church, the body was laid to rest in the City Cemetery. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. The Rev. O.E. Graves and the Rev. F.B. Hooks officiated at the funeral. Singers were Mesdames Jim Perry, T.C. Perkins, A.B. Willis, and W.W. Turner. Active pall-bearers were Bill Perry, A.W. Gaskins, Jr., W.H. Powell, Russell Tygart, Ed Tygart, and Jake Rutherford. Honorary pall-bearers were Dr. H.L. Carlton, Dr. Buie Bennett, Joe Harvey, P.A. Harris, J.D. Tygart, and Harry Brown. Mr. Gary is survived by his father; his step-mother; two brothers, E.J. and H.P. Gary; three sisters, Mrs. R.C. Griner, Mrs. W.R. Jones, and Mrs. A.T. Fuller.
