Funeral Services Held Sunday for Mrs. Gaskins

Mrs. Glenn Gaskins, 54, passed away Thursday at 7:30 a.m. at the Pineview 
General Hospital in Valdosta.
The deceased was the former Bessie Paulk, daughter of the late Charles and Dora 
Dorminy Paulk of Berrien. She was born and had lived all her life in this 
county. Mrs. Gaskins was a woman of high Christian character and was highly 
regarded by all who knew her.
Funeral services were held Sunday at 4 p.m. at Gaskins Cemetery with interment 
there. Rev. Fred Hesters and Rev. Roberson Gaskins conducted the services. 
Lovein Funeral Home handled arrangements.
Mr. and Mrs. Martin Kent, Mrs. Jim Duvall, Carlton Griner and Rev. Gaskins sang 
"Farther Along", "God Shall Wipe Away All Tears”, "Where We'll Never Grow Old" 
and "Rock of Ages".
Wallace Gaskins, Coral May, Willard Nix, Terrell Swindle, J. B. Boyett Jr. and 
Ted Swindle served as pallbearers.
Survivors beside the husband include two daughters, Mrs. Marlene Basson of 
Valdosta. Miss Linda Faye Gaskins of Nashville; seven sons, Leo Gaskins of 
Delano, Calif., Howard Gaskins of Nashville, Charles Gaskins of Sparks, Billy 
Jack Gaskins of Stumpy Point, N. C. , Ronald Gaskins of Norfolk, Va., Earl 
Gaskins of Atlanta, Jimmy Wayne Gaskins of Fort Hue mens, Calif.; four sisters, 
Mrs, Ethel Bailey of San Francisco, Calif., Mrs. Lunette Simpson of 
Jacksonville, Fla., Mrs. J. B. Boyett a. and Mrs. Herman Richards of Nashville, 
Bill Paulk of Jacksonville, Fla.; also several grandchildren.
