The Berrien Press -- Hubert Vernon Gaskins, 77, of Lake City, Florida, died 
January 24, 2006 at Lake City Medical Center.
 Born April 23, 1928 in Berrien County to the late Walt and Ruby Rowe Gaskins, 
he was a retired service station attendant.
 Survivors include his wife, Wanda Harris Gaskins of Lake City; three 
daughters, Salina Gaylard of Lake City, Sonya Gaskins of Jacksonville, FL, 
Judy Harris of Naples, FL; three sons, Hubert L. Gaskins of Orlando, FL, 
Vernon Gaskins of Clewiston, FL, Ricky Gaskins of Lake City; five sisters, Ima 
Jean Smith of Lake Placid, FL, Juanita Cameron of Leesburg, FL, Eula Mae Brown 
of Dupont, Emma Lois Adams of Howell, Betty Tumbleston of Eustis, FL; six 
brothers, Lincoln Gaskins of Alapaha, Denzil Gaskins of Franklin, NC, Leo 
Gaskins of Wauchula, FL, Kenneth Gaskins of Naylor, James Gaskins of Arcadia, 
FL, Jesse Gaskins of Lake Placid; 16 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.
 A graveside service was held January 27 at 11 a.m. at Riverside Cemetery with 
Rev. Mike Gibbs officiating.
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
