Born Nov. 13, 1939 in Cook Co. to the late William Elmer and Fannie Mae Day Hayes, she was a homemaker and was a member of Massee Baptist Church. She attended Nashville United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, George Max Gaskins of Nashville; two daughters, Debbie McMillan and Michelle Fountain, both of Nashville; one son, Chip Gaskins of Nashville; three sisters, Myrtice MacGregor of Kissimmee, FL; Donna Lyons of Warner Robins, Joan Hester of Adel; four brothers and one sister-in-law, Charles and Wilma Hayes of Nashville, Edward Hayes, Donald Hayes, Johnny Hayes all of Adel; five grandchildren, Tyler McMillan, Tanner McMillan, Lollie McMillan, Max Lewis Fountain, Denise Fountain. She was preceded in death by a sister, Nell Sumner and a brother, Carroll Hayes. Funeral services were held July 18 at 4 pm in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with Rev. Becky King officiating. Musical selections included "Angel", "Blessed Assurance," "How Great Thou Art." "When we all Get to Heaven," "In The Garden," "I'll Fly Away," and "Stroll Over Heaven With You." Interment was in Westview Cemetery. Pallbearers were Mike Lyons, Jimmy Hester, Don MacGregor, John MacGregor, Doug MacGregor, Josh Hayes. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
