Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Fletcher Cemetery. The Rev. Jack Atkinson and the Rev. James R. Drake will officiate. Mrs. Gaskins was born on Oct. 6, 1921, in Berrien County. She was the daughter of Rowan Glen Johnson and Eulalie Pace Johnson. She was a homemaker and a member of Alapaha United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Edwin Gaskins of Alapaha; three daughters, Dona Fields of Alapaha, Marsha Cole of Alapaha and Suzanne Gaskins of Villa Rica; a son, Robert Gaskins of Alapaha; five grandchildren, Derring Johnson of Alapaha, Chad Cole of Alapaha, Julianne Clamp of Tifton, Dana Echols of Ball Ground and Kim Bishop of Stevensville, Mich.; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Lenora Hoskins. The family requests memorials be made to the Alapaha United Methodist Church. Lovein Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
