Born August 9, 1927 in Berrien County to the late Lewis and Georgia Ann Watson Keefe, she was a homemaker and member of Nashville United Methodist Church. She was married to Alvah William "A.W." Gaskins, Jr., who died in 2003. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Frank Patton of Suwanee; one son and daughter-in-law,Rebecca and A.W. "Al" Gaskins, III, of Byrdstown, TN; one daughter-in-law, Renee Gaskins of Nashville; one brother and sister-in-law, Elmer and Virginia Keeffe of Nashville; six grandchildren, Jay (Meredith) Patton, Ellen Patton, Becky (Kevin) Smarat, Chris Gaskins, Carrie Gaskins, Katherine (Justin) McCall; three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Evajean Bateman; one son, Lewis Gaskins, and a grandson, A.W. "Bill" Gaskins, IV. Her sister Elnita Lynn died May 5, 2008. Funeral services were held May 8 at 11 a.m. at Nashville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dwight Bishop officiating. The congregation sang "Amazing Grace," accompanied by Bobette Lamb. Interment was in Westview Cemetery. Pallbearers were Doug Gaskins, Bob Gaskins, Waugh Turner, John B. Prince, Mark Fuchus,Dane Perkins. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
