Born June 8, 1925, in Brevard County, FL to the late Asa Duggan and Bessie Clyde Yopp Garner, she was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church of Ray City. She was preceded in death by her husbands, H.H. "Brocy" Sirmans and Joseph Bartow "J. Bart" Gaskins. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia Sirmans (Ed) Puckett of Valdosta; one sister, Betty Shaw of Rockledge, FL; two brothers, Al D. Garner of Baxley and Wendell Garner of Orlando, FL. Funeral services were held July 21 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Ray City with the Rev. John Evans Patten officiating. Steve Stalvey and Brenda Peters sang "Amazing Grace" and "In The Garden" and the congregation sang "What A Friend We Have In Jesus," accompanied by Libby Boatright, pianist. Interment was in Beaver Dam Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jerry Griffin, Elliott Garner, Wayne Peters, Terry Lee, Steve Stalvey, Walter Snipes. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
