 Herbert "Jack" Gaskins, 76, of Nashville died August 19, 2005 at his residence.

 Born in Berrien County to the late Aulie and Emma Mae Gaskins, he was retired 
from Owens-Illinois Paper Mill after 37 years of service. He served in the U.S. 
Army and was of the Primitive Baptist faith.

 Survivors include his wife, Kate Gaskins of Nashville; sister, Hilda Schultz 
of Jacksonville, FL.

 Funeral services were held August 21 at 4 p.m. in the Lakeland Chapel of Music 
Funeral Services with the Revs. Robert Skinner and James Hartman officiating. 
Music was provided by the Primitive Baptist Singers.

 Interment was in Empire Cemetery.

 Pallbearers were Bruce Mathis, Ricky Browning, Marshall Mathis, Julian 
Haskins, Joel Back, Donald Beck.

 Music Funeral Services of Lakeland was in charge of arrangements.
