 Donald Bryant Gaskins, 68, of Valdosta died November 6, 2012 
 Born February 6, 1944, in Lanier County to Lucille Royals Gaskins of Lakeland a
and the late John A. Gaskins, he was a retired farmer. He served in the U.S. A
Army, for seven years, two of which was during the Vietnam War. He was a member o
of Hillcrest Baptist Church in El Paso, TX. In addition to his father, he was p
preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Gaskins.
 Survivors, in addition to his mothers, include his wife of 44 years, Joan 
Browning Gaskins; daughters and son-in-law, Lisa and Dale Harper of Nashville 
and Jennifer Gaskins of Valdosta; grandchildren, Mary Katherine Harper and 
Kolby Alex Harper; brothers and sisters-in-law, John Daniel and Cindy Gaskins of Va
of Valdosta and Ted and Margaret Gaskins of Valdosta; a number of nieces and nephe
nephews.
 Funeral services were held November 9 at 11 a.m. in the Lakeland Chapel of Musi
Music Funeral Services with burial following at Nashville Memorial Gardens.
 Music Funeral Services of Lakeland was in charge of arrangements.
