 Lizzie bell Gaskins, 76, of Ray City died October 1, 2012, at Tift Regional Me
Medical Center.
 She was born September 22, 1936, in Lowndes County to the late Walter D. and L
Lillian Moore Mullis. She was a homemaker and member of Ray City United M
Methodist Church. She was the widow of Jimmy Key Gaskins who died in 2004.
 She is survived by sons, Freddy (Sylvia) Gaskins of Nashville and Steve 
(Darlene) Gaskins of Valdosta; six grandchildren, Mandy (Michael) Powe, Adam 
(Jessica) Gaskins, Deanna (Scott) Dowd, Justin Gaskins, Rodney (Ashlie) Ray, 
Kyle (Brittany) Ray; four great-grandchildren; four sisters Betty McClellan of N
Nashville, Reba Pruitt of Naylor, Dot Hall of Valdosta, and Jerri Roberts of V
Valdosta.
 Funeral services were held October 4 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Lovein 
Funeral Home with the Revs. Terron Stonecypher and Mary Swain officiating. 
Musical selections on CD included “I’ll Fly Away,” “Amazing Grace,” and “When I 
get Where I’m Going.”
 Interment followed at Beaver Dam Cemetery.
 Grandsons served as pallbearers.
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of 
arrangements.
