Gaskins, age 75, at 3:30 o’clock p.m. Friday at the new Ramah Primitive Baptist Church. Mrs. Gaskins died at the Milledgeville Hospital at 12:30 o’clock p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21, after a lengthy illness. She was a resident of Ray City. Mrs. Gaskins was born in Berrien County on Feb. 13, 1887, the daughter of Joseph and Martha Sirmans Clements, both deceased. Last rites were held Friday, Feb. 23, at 3:30 p.m. in the New Ramah Primitive Baptist Church with the Rev. J.W. Herndon officiating. Interment followed in the New Ramah Church Cemetery. A selected choir sang primitive hymns. Active pallbearers were Randal Clements, Gerald Clements, Clyde Miller, Jack Gaskins, Dr. Billy Luke, Michael Gallager, Ira Register, and H.H. Sirmans. Honorary pallbearers were Henry Swindle, H.P. Clements, Homer Clements, Joe Clements, Aulie Gaskins, and Mitchell Sirmans. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Jewell Gaskins Johnson, Alma, a granddaughter, Mrs. Carolyn Johnson Boatwright, Alma, and two great grandchildren.
